Functionality

If we have an existing product with multiple SKU shades can we add an additional shade later to the same product? If it’s the same price, it will be the same product. If it’s a different price, it will be a different product.
(Note, you will not be able to modify existing SKU’s & Barcodes through the PIM)
Will there be any changes to PRICAT? There are no changes to EDI or PRICAT. (Note, There are no inventory updates/SOH in PIM)
Will there be access to pricing? No, PIM does not access pricing.
Will I be notified when new product have loaded and do I reach-out to our account manager to enrich a style? (as with Vendorpath) You will receive a daily notification of any items which require action in PIM. You will no longer require a David Jones buyer to enrich products for you, you will have access to perform this yourself.
How do we upload products to PIM? Products are automatically added to PIM once our buying team creates products. For Concessions, products will flow to PIM from your PRICAT.
Any changes to EDI (sending/receiving orders)? No there are no changes
Can I link matching products in PIM? No, PIM does not have this function.
Do I need to purchase new software to use PIM? No, your access will be supplied by David Jones.
Can I store a feed URL in Asset Management? This will need to be updated manually.
Does PIM replace COBRA? Yes, PIM will replace COBRA.
What about Third Parties/SKU Vantage/SKU Library? Please contact your Merchandise/Digital contact to request an additional log-in for your third party to use PIM on your behalf.
Are there changes to image uploads and requirements? All image requirements remain the same – you continue to be welcome to use Mondo to edit images on your behalf. Videos cannot be uploaded.

Item Enrichment

In the Enrich Style step will there be enough materials be available? The list of materials provided is comprehensive and should have the material that you are looking for. Remember that the information validated in the enrich style step is related to the shipping information and this field is not customer facing. Hence being accurate is not very important. We would say that you should try to achieve 70% accuracy when you are populating the material.
What is the lead time? For the orders to be raised it is important that the items are enriched as soon as possible. Business usually works 2 weeks out from delivery window opening, David jones will work towards masterfiling items/ordering one week earlier from the usual 2 weeks to give 1 week for the vendor to enrich.
Can SKUs be enriched? No, Item enrichment is at style and variant level, sku are in pim for visibility but not available for enrichment.
Can we clear the history of the product? If you wish to update a previously enriched style or variant, you can use the search functionality to bring the product back into the workflow, update whatever is required on whichever step (but all steps must be completed if the style is checked back into workflow), this will send the style and variants back for approval so buyer can review the changes made and approve.
Can we add multiple materials in the Enrich Style Step? Yes, you can add multiple materials at the Enrich Style step. To add materials, click on the add more materials icon and search for the materials.
Are attributes in the Item Enrichment Process customer facing? Some attributes are more technical and may be required for shipping/online, however the customer facing attributes and the ones that drive searchability are below:
What if you find an auto-filled option is incorrect? If an auto-filled option is incorrect, then please reach out to your buyer to update the defaulting rule
To complete the enrichment, click on the attribute value and select the correct value.
If you accidentally remove something from your workflow (cancel) can you add it back? Yes, if an item is cancelled accidentally, you should be able to add it back to your workflow. To do so you will have to search for the item and check out the item in the item enrichment workflow. Click here for a step-by-step process. Please note, if you cancel prior to the item being enriched for the first time, all the default values will be lost.
Where can I find the Item Enrichment Cheat sheet with the List of Values that was shown in the training? You can find the cheat sheet in the Item Enrichment link and also under the Quick Reference Guides section. Alternatively, for your convenience we have placed the link here as well.
Can you bulk upload all three steps all at once or does this need to be one at a time? You will not be able to bulk upload all the 3 steps in one go. Based on the attributes that you provided in step 1, PIM runs logic and rules to build the second step.
Can you import multiple materials? No you cannot import multiple materials using the bulk import feature. Remember that the information validated in the enrich style step is related to the shipping information and this field is not customer facing. Hence being accurate is not very important. We would say that you should try to achieve 70% accuracy when you are populating the material.

Asset Management

Can you add new resources for approved products? Certainly, you have the ability to supply additional assets for approved products. To do this, you need to check out the specific variant and include it in your asset management workflow. Once the variant is checked out, follow the steps outlined in the asset management workflow to upload the necessary images and product descriptions. Will the online visibility of the style be deactivated if the variant is checked out? No, the products will remain visible online if you have checked out the corresponding styles and variants and included them in your workflow for reworking.
How can I update the Stock on Hold (SOH) in the system, which is currently done through the WebPortal? Please note that the Stock on Hand (SOH) update is not performed using the Product Information Management (PIM) system. PIM primarily focuses on managing styles and variants. As a supplier, you will utilise the PIM platform to enhance styles with additional information (item enrichment) and upload assets through asset management.
Does DJS have a preferred template for product descriptions? The preferred style guide can be accessed within the PIM system. To find it, navigate to custom tools, select “Bulk upload assets,” and click on the CSV template. On the right-hand side, you will find the option to download the style guide. Alternatively, you can also click here to access the style guide.
Where can I add barcodes and similar information? Barcodes are not added directly within the PIM system. However, you can utilise the Vendor Product Number as a means to search for specific styles or variants.
How can I reorder my images? To reorder images just drag the images to the correct position.
Can I add a swatch for multiple colourways under a style? You will be required to add the swatch one by one for each variant. There are 3 methods to do this.

If I upload the wrong image, can I go back and change it? If the variant is currently present in your workflow you can add the images by following the process shown below:

1) Select the variant
2) Click on the action icon and then click on manage angle variants
3) The images will now be displayed, add more images, remove images etc.
4) Save the images

If the variant has left your workflow you will have to reach out to your digital team partner at DJs as it is sitting with them for review as this point.
How long will it take for my images & copy to show on the website once approved? As soon the images and copy have been approved, they should be visible on the website in a few hours on the same day or maximum overnight, depending on system feeds.
