Item Enrichment

What is “Item Enrichment”?

Vendor users will validate or add attributes of products into PIM using a predetermined set of data relating to each product type. These attributes will be used to drive filters and Online Web Category mapping, which will increase searchability on davidjones.com, making your products more discoverable and ultimately resulting in more sales.

There are three steps to complete in Item Enrichment:

  1. Validate the Family Channel; PIM will populate most fields for each item, with the step largely being a validation that the item has been allocated to the correct ‘family’, for example; a beauty product is allocated to the Beauty family, and the correct beauty category also appears.
  2. Enrich Style; PIM again populates most of the fields based on the family selected in step 1 above. Complete any blank fields that appear, to enrich the information David Jones has about each product.
  3. Enrich Variant; the final step is a validation of the variations of the style. An example of this would be to validate the colours that are available for the product.

Acknowledgement Of Country

David Jones acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters we now call Australia, from the islands of the Torres Strait to the mountains of Tasmania, from the rivers of the east coast to the red earth of the west coast and into the sandy, rocky heart of this continent. We pay our respects to all First Nations peoples, past and present, for their generosity and custodianship of Country.
